Every Child Matters Day
Every Child Matters Day
We joined the Medicine Hat College on September 30th for Every Child Matters Day.
Every Child Matters Day with an Indigenous focus is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by Indigenous children and promoting their rights, well-being, and cultural identity. It emphasizes the importance of reconciliation, healing, and supporting Indigenous children to thrive within their communities while respecting and preserving their cultural heritage. The day often highlights issues such as the legacy of residential schools, the importance of cultural education, and the need for policies that ensure Indigenous children receive equitable and culturally safe support.
